Mauricio Andrade is a self-taught musician born in northeast Mexico State. By the end of 2016 he started working on the first demos of what would be his new project, which, while beginning as HUMAN, after a while became HVMVN. On February 14, 2017, the first track, “Go Away” first sees the light officialy. A piece with synth pop and dream pop influence, the track hwas since become a hit for the project, part of the first EP launched independently in December 2017 under the name “Hollow” with 6 tracks with a similar sound as the first single, full of danceable rhythms and subtle darkness.
In March 2021, during the height of the COVID pandemic, “Fear the Future” is launched, their first long play with 10 tracks, recorded in 2020 completely by Mau.
This time, HVMVN experiments with different textures and rhythms making of this album an experiment with influences from dream pop, ambient drone, synth pop, psychedelia and post punk. Featured tracks in this album are “Negative Priming”, “Endless Race” and “Your Last Day”.
After a long hiatus, HVMVN returns to stage in 2023, appearing in Mexico City and a first visit to Guadalajara.
HVMVN has shared stage with important bands from the national and international scene such as Prismatic Shapes, Vacíos Cuerpos, I Can Fly, Bragolin, Ultra Sunn and Black Marble.
In 2024, HVMVN seeks solidification with a new album to be released, a compilation of 13 tracks recorded between 2021 and 2023 and being the first release in Spanish.
HVMVN intends to create moments of positive impact in people and continuous connection, growth and learning, and to continue writing his own story.
HVMVN’s live show features Oscar Elizondo’s talent in guitar fusing with Roberto Verduzco’s in synthesizers and Gerardo Perez’s in bass to create an extrasensorial experience with visuals for all in attendance.
